CT Scans May Be Best for Predicting Heart Disease Risk Compared to Genetics

Traditional risk factors for heart disease are useful, but they might not always be the most accurate indicators of risk on their own. Medical experts may employ genetic testing and CT scans to enhance risk assessments. A recent study compared genetic testing to CT scans and discovered that when traditional criteria are also taken into account, CT scans are more accurate at determining the risk of heart disease for middle-aged adults.
