Manhattan Cardiology

Dear Valued Patient,

Our providers at Manhattan Cardiology are closely monitoring the developments of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) via the NYC Department of Health, World Health Organization (WHO), and U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

In light of the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we kindly request if you are experiencing mild cold or flu-like symptoms such as fatigue, runny nose, and cough, to please remain home and refrain from visiting our offices as a precaution to prevent further transmission to others. Our recommendation for treatment is to stay at home as much as possible, monitor temperature, get plenty of rest, and stay hydrated. Tylenol can help alleviate symptoms.

If you are experiencing more severe flu-like symptoms such as high fever (>101 degrees) in addition to symptoms of respiratory illness (cough, shortness of breath), and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19, or have recently traveled to an area with ongoing spread, please contact the NYC Department of Health hotline at 1-866-692-3641 as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 testing is not currently available in an outpatient setting. Therefore, we are not equipped at this time to address this potentially serious condition and visiting our office would only hinder in making a rapid diagnosis for you.

Our goal is always to keep our entire community healthy and informed. To protect yourself and others, please continue to use best hygienic practices such as regular & thorough hand-washing and cover your face when you cough or sneeze.

As the information and updates are constantly changing, we promise to keep you up to date if these protocols do change.

For further questions or concerns about the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, please call the NYC Department of Health hotline at 1-866-692-3641 or visit their website: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/health/health-topics/coronavirus.page
