Dr. David Rhee is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in adult general cardiology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, Cardiac CT, and Nuclear Cardiology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Dr. Rhee earned his medical degree from the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where his early curiosity about how the body works evolved into a lifelong commitment to healing. Originally drawn to teaching, he found his calling in medicine through the satisfaction of helping patients overcome complex health challenges. For Dr. Rhee, being by a patient’s side during one of the most vulnerable moments of their life is both a privilege and a profound responsibility.
Dr. Rhee’s approach to care is rooted in education, empathy, and collaboration. He believes that the best medicine begins with helping patients truly understand their health, emphasizing shared decision-making and quality of life as key components of treatment. In cardiology, he finds endless fascination in decoding the intricate systems that keep the heart in rhythm—a field he describes as both a science and an art. Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Rhee volunteers with Achilles International, a nonprofit that empowers athletes with disabilities. Whether guiding patients toward better heart health or helping a hand-cyclist cross the marathon finish line, his philosophy remains simple yet powerful: be kind and be helpful.
