Flu diagnosis could significantly raise heart attack risk, a new study finds

According to a recent study from the Netherlands, those who contract the flu could be six times more likely to experience a heart attack in the days after receiving a diagnosis of the illness. The study’s conclusions were scheduled to be presented on April 18 at the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases in Copenhagen, Denmark, as reported by Medscape.
