Lyann Wong, NP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with advanced certifications in CCRN and CMC. She completed her medical education at George Washington University and is an active member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau. Before becoming an NP, she worked as a critical care RN, where she discovered her passion for forming meaningful relationships with patients and their families. Witnessing how quickly health can change in the ICU deepened her commitment to education and prevention—values that continue to guide her work today.
Lyann specializes in cardiology, a field she chose for its powerful blend of life-saving interventions and long-term preventive care. She believes the heart is the most remarkable organ and is inspired by the profound, tangible impact cardiovascular medicine can have on a patient’s life. Her treatment approach is rooted in meeting patients where they are, understanding their unique circumstances, and treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis. She defines patient care as listening deeply, anticipating needs beyond the exam room, and empowering patients to make meaningful, sustainable changes. Outside of clinical practice, Lyann volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association and participates in local beach cleanups. Her favorite part of being an NP is meeting new people, hearing their stories, and witnessing their successes as they take charge of their health.
