‘Twas the season of joy, with snow in the air,
Festive lights twinkling and warmth everywhere.
But amidst the excitement, a thought came to mind:
It’s time to ensure my heart’s feeling fine.
The cookies were stacked, the eggnog poured high,
Yet whispers of wellness nudged with a sigh.
“For your heart,” said the voice, “this season, take care,
Schedule some tests to avoid future despair.”
To Manhattan Cardiology I flew, with resolve and some cheer,
Determined to face what my body held dear.
A Coronary Calcium Scan first on the slate,
To peek at my arteries and check on my fate.
Then came the Stress Test, a run on the mill,
To measure my ticker’s endurance and skill.
Up went my pulse, the treadmill did hum,
But knowing the data made me feel less glum.
Next, the Stroke Screening, so quick yet profound,
Detecting risks early with nary a sound.
“Prevention is key,” said the doc with a smile,
“Invest in your health, it’s always worthwhile.”
